KG Wins

photo.espn.com

KG has a realists approach to things. I'm happy I got to watch him play for my favorite team for 12 seasons. Yeah he broke the NBA bank, yeah he was never the fourth quarter player fans wanted and demanded, etc. Though through all of that and the trade he's been the real deal with heart, soul, determination, all day, every day. That's why when you see him after game 6 and he's losing it, you know that was 32 years of dreams, hopes, fears playing out for you to watch. No phony reality TV just raw feelings. He gave love to the journey that got him to a Championship, Chi-town, "Sota", and Mom. Man that shit was inspirational. I can't help to smile thinking about it now. Well as it all calms down and story starts to shake out, I thought this article was worth a read.

ROME COMMUNIQUE:

NO CORRECT WAY—A FILM ABOUT KNUCKLE DRAGGERS

6.10.2008

There is No Correct Way to have fun. There is No Correct Way to progress. There is No Correct Way to express style. There is No Correct Way to travel.

There is No Correct Way to shred snowboards.

With a season of filming wrapped and the long nights of editing kicked off, the Rome SDS and Kids on Shred Productions are pleased to announce the upcoming release of their second full-length team video entitled, you guessed it, No Correct Way.

The Rome SDS promises once again to provide a visual assault to the brain of snowboarding, any type, anytime, anywhere, and bring it to you with their unique outlook of fun and friends. The film will take you into the travels, lives and good times of the Rome team from Romania to Western BC to their Magic Bus as it rolls through the country. All of it centered around what each rider personally defines as fun.

With shred action from Bjorn Leines, Marie-France Roy, Marius Otterstad, LNP, Jesse Fox, Eiki Helgason, Max Legend, Yan Dofin, Will Lavigne, John Foy, Casey Neefus, Greg Bokenkamp, and the rest of the Am Army, No Correct Way will hit shelves this fall in snowboard shops around the world.

Thanks to Transworld Snowboarding, Onboard Magazine and Snowboard Canada for their support of the movie.

Stay tuned to Rome SDS for more updates, contest and information on No Correct Way.

Check it.

Feeling the Fresh Air

Fresh Air. Teaser from Stewart Smith on Vimeo.

This project is under the care of some fine young up and coming filmer/producer's Stewart Smith and Ryan Wonfor. Their efforts along with all the riders will embody a strong view of the assault on the winter wonderland in which we dwell.

Corey Koniniec

photo.L.Gallagher(Transworld)

Nice interview on Transworld with OG Midwest kid turned Cali-kid, transplanted to Washington State. Corey filmed Neoproto movies, then onto People for a stint, and is now filming for Transworld's upcoming release "These Days". I agree with many of his ideas on Snowboarding in this interview. Good solid thoughts on what's real and what's people taking themselves too seriously only to justify some sort of position in life- usually in order to make themselves either feel good about their own selves or in a attempt to impress others, but I digress- read for yourself.
