Anyways this series between Boston and Chicago is the most entertaining NBA basketball I've seen in years. If you a person who enjoys pure entertainment watch game 7. There's a ton of good games left in the payoffs sure, but this will be a awesome event to consume.

So man up with crew grab some Za and beer, watch this shit its fun!

Life Report:season in south sweden. vallasen, vemdalen and beyond

hej corduroy peter, hur ar laget?

mid winter i moved to Halmstad Sweden to be with my girlfriend Sofie. both of us have done alot of seasons and lucky for us there is some shreding to be had 25 minutes away from our new kick ass loc near the ocean. The hill is called Vallåsen and it's just like riding in the midwest but there were only a handful of shreder's. It's also the closest place for the Danish to get on snow- The danish and swedish are very different people for being such close neighbors. to stereotype, the swede's keep it clean and the dirty danish drive a couple hours north to Vallasen and smoke weed, drink on the slopes and dodge babies while bombing down on their snowblades. I saw a creative game of tail-passing a huge pink dildo down the slopes played by some party'n danish.

but yia, Vallasen's hills are spirit mt minnesota in length, three lifts, night riding and the atlantic ocean to your left as you ride down. i met 5 swede-kids who ripped and helped out in the park and we had fun talking broken swedish/english and doing park laps together. season pass price was average and rely's on cold temps and man-made snow to keep it alive til the end of march and is a similar set up to buck hill, troll, wild... the owner of Vallåsen was telling me that he had some family in minnesnowta and goes there often. He new of all our shred spots we talked about where I grew up riding at Hyland. I am workin on that guy to let me do his park since I was shaping it daily anyways...and maybe help to motivate and throw some real events. lot's of potential there.

Vallasen melted off the end of march with farewell sessions on the big booter in the slush slop action. In the beginning of april Sofie and I took off in our RadRocket road tripper north to Vemdalen, Bjornrike and Klovsjo to extend the winter. it's near Ostersund about halfway up the country is rad with terrain- way more than i expected from sweden and 20 feet of snow up there is normal for a season. the three resorts were all on the same pass and close to each other with great parks and terrain. jump comps, high speed butters and getting busted for bringing our own beers to outdoor restaurants were some highlights. staying in a friends cabin, we enjoyed the 8:30 sunsets sweden has this time of year, hitting backyard mini jumps and grilling during our apres shred.

My friend from st. anton austria is picking me up in his van on this wednesday april 29th for a 3 week roadie up to finland, riksgransen and Norway. free lift tickets and hiking... STOKED! POINT IT! CORDUROY!

Corduroy Lifestyles Very Own Winner

"Art entries from shop kids for the Rome SK (Shop Kid) Contest have been received from around the globe, and the judging has finally come to a close. A ton of good work was submitted by a lot of dedicated shop employees, making the decision a difficult one.

In the end, the Rome SDS is pleased to announce that Michigan native Mike Forester, hailing from Casualties Skate, Snow and Surf in Marquette, MI is the winner of the SK Contest for 2009-2010.

Mike is one semester from graduating from Northern Michigan University with a design degree, and has been one of the key shop employees at Casualties for over three years. His submission to the contest was packed full of 80’s skate references, nod’s to cult movies, and an overall perspective that can only be gained from years on the grind, riding as much as possible, tuning boards, and making it so others that walk into his shop can enjoy the life of shred as well.
For the coming 2009-2010 season, the Rome SDS expanded the idea behind the Artifact SK that it has made for the last two years. This time, the idea was to let the shop kids create the art for the SK products that are made uniquely for them. More than ever, the idea was to listen to kids on shred.
After talking with Mike on the phone last week, it was clear that this kid not only has art talent, but ambition as well. As the winner, Mike wins some loot and a stash of SK product. Once the school year is over for him, he will be packing his car, swinging through Detroit, and head to Waterbury, VT to join up for a summer internship, where he will put the finishing touches on his submitted art for the Artifact SK and the other SK products.

Once Mike finalizes the design with the art crew at Rome this summer, the SK products will be available exclusively on Rome’s Operative Program for shop kids and resort employees.

Congrats to Mike for winning the contest.

And thanks to Casualties for keeping kids on shred on the UP of Michigan."

Big ups to Mike for busting ass on this and all the shit he does. Thanks for being apart of Corduroy Lifestyles!

Local Gnar... Keep The Streak Alive

Calling all Midwest camera holders, lets do this! Two years running a Midwest entry has won 1st place. Lets keep it going!
Get your clips, friends, and edit it down to get the hype up! Here's the the link Romesnowboards.com. Info below-Good Luck!

"As another season is winding down, and the deadline for Local GNAR entries is soon approaching.

Nothing beats spring shred. Warmer weather, softer landings and daily parking lot tailgate good-times means it's time to get out there and get footage of that trick you've been working on all season.

Local GNAR is a contest that celebrates, promotes and publishes these videos from local scenes around the world.

For the third year in a row, Rome wants to check out your Local GNAR video and hook up the best videos with $$, publication and prizes. Get your crew together in the early season and make a video about your perspective on snowboarding. Keeping it to 5 minutes or less, get creative with the editing, include only your best shots, and put it to music. Rome's riders and in-house crew will check out the submissions and vote on the top three videos. As always, the winning videos will be the ones that most make us want to go out and shred in May.

•1st Place: $1,000, two (2) Rome Artifact snowboards, three (3) Rome 390 bindings, twenty (20) GNAR t-shirts

•2nd Place: two (2) Rome Artifact snowboards, three (3) Rome 390 bindings, five (5) pairs of Rome gloves, ten (10) GNAR t-shirts

•3rd Place: three (3) Rome 390 bindings, five (5) pairs of Rome gloves, ten (10) GNAR t-shirts

All entries have to be received by May 1, 2009, so get that last minute footage and get to editing."

Family Fun Lutsen

My homie Tom hit me with a Lutsen trip idea, a ride in and ride out condo and a long weekend of shred with Tom and Kop sounded great to me after a short yet fun trip to Whitefish. Feeling like I hadn't ridden enough this season I needed another strong trip to focus on ripping with homies. No contests no expectations just some riding. We launched toward Spirit on the Thursday morning to meet up with Eric Christopherson and get some runs. It had just ice stormed a day or two before we went up. It provided interesting conditions and features which we would rip all weekend. The riding was fast and the fun factor high.
